Parker Filtration choose new Pawo Weather Seal B16 Parker Filtration, part of the global motion control company Parker Hannifan, is the first company in the UK to order the new B16 stripping, sealing and crimping unit. The plant at Dewsbury, West Yorkshire is the headquarters of ‘Filter Division Europe’.

The semi-automatic B16 is manufactured in Switzerland by Pawo, leading specialists in weatherseal applications, and includes integrated crimp force monitoring and reject cutter for faulty crimps. The cable is stripped using adjustable cutting blades.

Richard Smith, of FDE, explained "We appraised various systems and found the B16 met our requirements to quickly and efficiently produce a terminal crimp complete with weather seal. In addition, there is minimum changeover between different wire sizes, and the ability to identify a non-conforming component."
