Flexible automation in cable processing

The demand for automatic, flexible and process safe solutions is continuously increasing. The Schleuniger TransferModule 6000 can at any time be modularly equipped to suit the customer’s individual needs. The use of standard equipment allows for cost effective semi or fully automatic cable processing. Depending on the order, the equipping of the transfer module can be varied, i.e. standard machines that are not required are available as independent operating units.

A central element of the TransferModule 6000 is its variable processing that can at any time be individually adapted to the customers needs. It consists of a base module into which individual machines are installed to form an automation line. The base units comprises the cable transport system, the cable loading and unloading stations, the control system and the user interface. The TransferModule 6000 offers cost efficient semi- or fully automatic wire and cable processing. Its free areas can be individually used to equip it with standard machines or customer specific units to obtain a semi- or fully automatic system. The broad choice of well proven Schleuniger standard machines guarantees a high processing assurance. The complete system is extremely compact and requires a minimal production area. Despite the compact building method each individual unit of the system is easily accessible.

By means of parallel processing productivity the level of this system is extremely high. The chain transfer processes the cables gently from the fitting station to the processing station. Depending on the required processing the chain transfer can be equipped with different cable supports. These supports differ in the degrees of their sensitive movement in and to the individual processing stations. As such co-axial, sensor, airbag, ABS, FFC, POF as well as multi wired cables can be processed over broad diameter and length. The application possibilities of the TransferModule 6000 are therefore almost unlimited.

System operation is via a PC, directly at the site, extremely easy. Each processing module is fitted with a control through which the processing parameters can be fed. A super ordinate SPS control coordinates the processing function and ensures constant processing quality.
