Schunk MINIC II
Compacting Station (Ultrasonic Welding)
The Schunk MINIC II ultrasonic welding station can be used on CrimpCenter fully automatic crimping machines for compacting (e.g. tip welding) of stripped wire ends from 0.22 – 6 mm² (23 AWG – 10 AWG).
Compacting of one or both wire ends
The system includes the MINIC II station with swinging system (sonotrode) and a separate control unit with high frequency generator. After the cutting and stripping process, the swivel arm of the CrimpCenter positions the stripped wire end in the welding tool of the MINIC II compacting station. Subsequently, continuously adjustable servo drives close the tool according to programmed welding parameters and the wire end is compacted.
Proven Technology
Schunk ultrasonic welding technology has been proven worldwide. The system guarantees short cycle times and minimum heat exposure of wire strands during compacting. Additionally, welding of different materials such as copper and aluminium are possible. For quality assurance, parameters such as pre-welding / compacting specifications, welding time and welding energy are monitored and recorded. User-friendly, multi-lingual menu structures supported by graphical displays provide for easy programming directly at the control unit.
